- Sicboy members form new band... THE STICK.
Former
members of the band Sicboy have formed a new band, The Stick. Chris
Trudeau (drums), Drew Trudeau (Guitar), John Tate (Bass) have joined
up with singer Jake Vogel (formerly of Kung-Fuse) to form The Stick.
The Stick mixes elements of punk, garage rock, and metal to create an
original sound that is guaranteed to make your ears bleed. For more,
visit www.myspace.com/goforthestick.
You've been warned...

- "Turned Up"... well, turns up.
One
of the last and only taped interviews we ever did has turned up again
on the 'net'. It was an interview we did with Yale University's video
magazine 'Turned Up' back during our 'Tease EP' release party in December
2002. It's in Windows Media and is hi-quality. Download
and watch it here.

- Sicboy on Soundtrax + M80 Remix Sample
It
looks like a couple of songs off of ArtificialFlavors
have turned up in a pair of indie flicks produced by Substance
Productions. Ruth's Song appears in the film Alive and Lubricated
and Myself appears in the documentary The Writing on the Wall: Real
American Graffiti. You can check out the trailer for The Writing
on the Wall here
and listen for Myself on the trailer. (Quicktime or Windows Media)
Also, check out this cool sample of the M80 Remix 'Ex-Sicboy' by the
UK's Liam Dunlop. Sic & Twisted! Have
a listen (mp3 format)
06/28/2005 - A Break-up?
A
hiatus...
Well, it looks like we've agreed to part company for a while and invest
ourselves in other areas of our lives (creatively, spiritually, domestically).
To avoid going crazy?? Perhaps. Anyway, its been a rough last few months.
Although we've been plugging away creatively... issues arise, tensions
build, frustrations take hold, the heat gets to you... you know the
deal. So, we're taking a break of indefinite length. Whether or not
Sicboy, as you and I know it, continues on is yet to be seen. I'm sure
something will emerge from this maelstrom that is heavy as hell and
will hopefully own all of your collective asses... but for now we must
part company. If this truly is the end, we must give thanks and love
for your support these last 9+ years (it's been one helluva ride). But
I'd like to think that we're on a slight detour, on a road to bigger
and better things... that as they say, is life. Sorry for being so ambiguous.
Much love and respect,
Chris & Sicboy.

03/23/2005 - New Song Sample
Just
to prove to you that we haven't been dicking around lately, here' s
a little sample song from a fairly recent rehearsal. Fair warning, the
recording quality is crappy (a few room mics) and there are no vocals.
Just us hammering out a new tune.
So have a listen... CLICK
ME YOU @#$%!

11/26/2004 - The New Site
Welcome to the new www.sicboy.com.
It's been a while since we've given the site a new look, so we hope
you dig what we've done. The site is a lot more basic now, and we feel
a bit easier to get around. So have a look and tell
us what you think (or share your comments in the Forum).
Also, we're busy working on some new music and trying new directions...
so be on the look out for some new material. We'll also be back out
playing some shows soon, so stay tuned for that.
Oh, and if you haven't signed up for the Street
Team yet, what are you waiting for!? We'll send you out a copy of one
of our EP's with your sign up.
Thanks for stopping by! |
